At FORVIS, our Forensics & Valuation practice is led by a talented team of experienced professionals, who have a sincere appreciation for people and how they are each uniquely motivated. Our forensics and valuation professionals are experts at providing a variety of services, including forensic accounting, litigation services, and fraud investigations, as well as handling various complex valuation issues faced by clients related to compliance, mergers & acquisitions, and financial reporting.

As a FORVIS Forensic & Valuation Intern, you will develop expertise, expand your knowledge, and build collaborative relationships within the practice and with clients. Further, you will have meaningful support from firm leadership for substantial professional development and perform services for clients across the country. FORVIS’ Forensic & Valuation leadership team takes pride in creating and maintaining a supportive and respectful environment for our team members.
How you will contribute:
Preparing business valuation models and reports
Researching and analyzing industry, transactional, and economic information
Preparing for and participating in management interviews, either onsite or via teleconference
Assisting audit teams with reviewing and testing fair value estimates
Assisting with mathematical testing related to quality control procedures
Participating in investigations, litigation support, and forensic consulting engagements
Performing detailed analysis of financial and legal documents, analysis of potentially fraudulent transactions, and reconstruction of financial statements
Applying technical research skills needed to gather, organize, summarize, and interpret data to arrive at a conclusion
Delivering FORVIS’ commitment to unmatched client experience through timely and responsive communication with internal and external clients

Minimum Qualifications:
Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college/university
Some travel may be required, up to 20%
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications:
Maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or higher (in major and overall)
Desire or the ability to sit for the CPA exam
Desire to obtain the Accreditation in Business Valuation (ABV), Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA), and/or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) credentials
