If so, Liberty Tax outside sales team is looking for an ambitious seasonal part-time (no more than 30 hours weekly) Virtual Tax Prep Outside Sales Account Executive for exclusive territories to drive sales of its tax preparation services, as well as using Connect by Liberty Tax to prepare taxes and help customers with all their tax needs. This is a 100% commission-paid seasonal position.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Liberty Tax is looking for individuals who have experience in both sales and preparing individual tax returns. As a Virtual Tax Prep Outside Sales Account Executive, you will be assigned an exclusive sales territory in which you will spend at least 51% of your time offering best-in-class tax preparation services through door-to-door and other in-person solicitations of new prospective tax customers in your assigned territory. You will then use your professional tax preparation skills to prepare and complete the customers’ tax returns using Liberty Tax’s proven software and systems. This is a great opportunity for tax preparers who have an established clientele base and can market outside of the office to bring on new clients. We offer national branding and marketing support/training that you will be able to use in your territory. We also have higher commission splits than most companies.

MUST have tax preparation experience (at least three years) and a PTIN number and appropriate state licensing where required.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Must have PTIN and minimum of 3 years’ experience in tax preparation and active and in good standing state licensing where required
• Spend at minimum 51% of work time outside the office to acquire new customers through door-to-door and in-person contact from assigned leads
• Develop and present sales presentations/proposals on products and services that meet customers’ needs
• Interview clients and prepare personal tax returns
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
• Preparation of Personal (Form 1040 & all schedules) & Business (Form 1065, Form 1120 & Form 1120S) Income Taxes
• Carefully document all customer interactions and sales initiatives/attempts
• Meeting with clients & contacting clients via email/phone/mail/in person to conduct interviews and request documentation necessary to prepare tax returns
• Take initiative to seek new clients by asking current clients for referrals; actively develop and execute client acquisition plans
• Manage overall tax preparation workflow to ensure timelines are met and the highest degree of customer service is provided
• Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience

• Conduct proactive consultative needs analysis with new prospective customers
• Support team and team goals by actively participating in all sales meetings and training programs as assigned
• Achieve monthly sales quotas
• Complete all administrative tasks related to services in accordance with department practice, policies, and procedures
• Well-informed about our competitors’ activities in assigned territory; inform manager of any changing competitive pricing programs, marketing directives, or door-to-door sales tactics
• Attend and successfully complete training programs
• Perform other duties as requested by supervisor
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language
• Engaging interpersonal skills
• Ability to listen, formulate needs-based strategies, and articulate pitches to sell products and services
• Minimum of 3 years tax experience
• Must have PTIN
• A passion to succeed and a strong personal drive to sell to prospective customers
• Ability to travel (including during inclement weather) to and from assigned territories and company facilities using a reliable personal vehicle
• Familiarity with computer operating systems and software applications as well as consumer and commercial communication devices (e.g., PDAs, smartphones, routers, modems, set-top converters, and wireless devices)
• Must be able to work evenings and weekends, as business needs dictate to maximize prospective customer contact
• A valid driver’s license, car insurance, a satisfactory driving record, and the use of a reliable personal vehicle
• Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
• Ability to meet with potential customers in-person
REQUIRED EDUCATION
High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Success in a previous sales position, prospecting, or cold calling; direct sales experience is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of tax preparation services, with an emphasis on consumer tax prep and the ability to educate consumers on related products and services as needed.
• 2+ years sales or relevant work experience
WORKING CONDITIONS
• Spends approximately 51% of the time in an outside environment for extended periods in any season, with potential exposure to inclement weather.
• Minimal time in an office environment.
• Exposure to moderate noise levels.
