Job Summary:
The People & Culture Intern supports the People & Culture team in delivering a variety of human resources functions and projects. This position is ideal for individuals seeking hands-on experience in human resources within a dynamic, professional environment.
Job Duties:
- Performs all assigned tasks accurately, efficiently and in accordance with applicable policies and procedures
- Works closely with members of assigned team to develop subject matter knowledge
- Provides answers to employee questions and solves problems, as needed
- Works to gain a basic understanding of the various areas of People and Culture
- Assists assigned team with updating system records according to established procedures
- Researches and answers employees’ calls, chats and online inquiry submissions concerning People and Culture topics, as needed
- Provides support for onboarding and offboarding employees, as needed
- Assists on tasks and projects of a confidential nature
- Assists the team in supporting people & culture related initiatives which drive employee engagement
- Assists in identifying potential areas for improvement in processes and creates/implements solutions
- Coordinates meeting logistics and prepares agendas and presentation materials
- Other duties as required
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Education:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, required; focus in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Behavior, Business Administration, or Communication, preferred
Experience:
- Previous internship or work experience in an office environment, preferred
Software:
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, required
- Experience with HRIS systems or HCM cloud software, preferred
