    The Real Estate Valuation Associate works within a team environment to actively assist in providing commercial real estate analytical, valuation, consulting and other business advisory services to developers, REITs, investors, financial institutions, hospitality companies, lenders and Fortune 500 companies. This position works on various stages of valuation engagements, including areas of specialized valuation for owner occupied and multi-tenant properties specific to financial reporting.

    Salary is commensurate with candidate experience and qualifications.

    Salary Range: $55,000-$100,000

    BDO Total Rewards include but encompass so much more than traditional “benefits,” such as compensation and health-related insurance (medical, dental and vision). The firm also offers 12 days or more Paid Time Off annually, dependent on position, plus an additional 12 paid holidays and Parental Leave. A 401k match is offered as well as eligibility for an annual performance bonus.

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree, required, with a focus in Real Estate, Accounting, Economics, or Finance, preferred

    • Master’s degree in Real Estate, Accounting, Economics, or Finance, preferred

    Experience:

    • Internship or work study experience in valuation, corporate finance or accounting environment, preferred

    License/Certifications:

    • Real estate appraisal certification, preferred

    Software:

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint, required

    • Advanced skills in Excel modeling, preferred

    Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

    • Excellent oral and written communication skills

    • Superior analytical skills with the ability to deconstruct complex issues

    • Capability of computer adaptability

    • Ability to analyze and organize high volumes of data

    • Strong organizational skills, specifically the ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on details

    • Ability to successfully multi-task while working independently or within a group environment

    • Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment, and handle multiple projects simultaneously

    • Ability to successfully interact with professionals at all levels

    • Basic understanding of real estate
