About the business
As an Associate Analyst in our FSO Assurance team, located at one of our Service Delivery
Centers (SDCs) in Jacksonville, FL, or San Antonio, TX, you will play a vital role in conducting
independent audits and assurance services for financial institutions. Your work will be
instrumental in enhancing the transparency and trustworthiness of their financial reporting.
In this collaborative environment, you will quickly develop on-the-job skills that will support
your career ambitions while contributing to the growth of new opportunities within the
business. Your responsibilities will include participating in project teams of various sizes,
assessing and collecting customer information, and reviewing transactions to identify unusual
or potentially suspicious activities. You will also conduct research and evaluate any suspicious
activities identified, ensuring thorough documentation of your analysis results.

What you will do
Support the administration of audit reporting and documentation by compiling relevant
materials into comprehensive reports.
Analyze financial statements to identify potential audit issues or unusual relationships that
may require further investigation.
Apply accounting and auditing principles to client situations by verifying the accuracy of
reports and supporting documentation.
Actively engage with team members to foster collaboration and enhance project outcomes.
Document the execution of specific audit procedures to ensure thoroughness and
compliance with standards.
Identify opportunities to improve audit techniques and methodologies for greater efficiency
and effectiveness.
Assist in the creation of audit and accounting deliverables by organizing and compiling
data into structured reports.
Collect financial and audit data from clients and analyze it to identify potential risks and
areas of concern.
Execute and deliver engagement-specific tasks as directed by senior team members.
To qualify for the role, you must have
A bachelor's degree in general business, finance, liberal arts and strong academic record
(3.0 GPA or above)
Ideally, you will have
Project management, teaming, organizational, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, and
SharePoint) and willingness to learn firm and client specific technologies.
Excellent communication skills and strong written communication skills with business fluency
in the English language.
The ability and willingness to travel and work more than standard hours When necessary.
Access to reliable transportation to/from EY office and client sites. A driver’s license is
preferred as ride share and public transportation options may not be available in all
locations.
