    What You Will Do:

    • Immerse yourself in a full-time, Monday-Friday co-op session, that will run January - July/August (it is expected students will take a semester off from coursework to fully engage with this working mentorship opportunity).
    • As an Engineering Co-op at Collins Aerospace, you will be provided with the opportunity to broaden your background with a practical approach to engineering. The primary goal is to merge your theoretical knowledge gained in school with practical engineering applications. Our team is responsible for design and development of dozens of unique displays for Commercial and Military Avionics. Our team designs products that support the full avionics industry.
    • Work with an outstanding team of engineers that develop displays for commercial and military avionics applications.
    • Tackle challenges and apply problem-solving skills in a hands-on work environment.
    • Create and/or implement changes to product design or development processes.

    What You Will Learn:

    • Display and optical technologies
    • Engineering design and process best practices
    • Avionics and Aerospace industry standards

    Qualifications You Must Have:

    • Must be pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Engineering and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
    • Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co-op session.
    • Experience working on collaborative projects and teams
    • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel)

    Qualifications We Prefer:

    • Ability to read hardware schematics and mechanical drawings
    • Comfortable with C++ or Python
    • Experience with optics and optical measurements.
    • Familiar with model-based engineering
    • Prior internship, coop, or other work experience

    Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

    Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee's personal responsibility.

    As part of our commitment to maintaining a secure hiring process, candidates may be asked to attend select steps of the interview process in-person at one of our office locations, regardless of whether the role is designated as on-site, hybrid or remote.

    The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

    Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

    This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
