We are looking for a driven self-starter who enjoys working with people and creatively solving problems. Must be motivated to learn at a fast pace, work autonomously, and within a team environment. This job requires a balance of skills including; investigation, attention to detail, root cause analysis, customer service, and relationship building. This position is for a Manufacturing Electrical Engineer who will join the Manufacturing support team at the Collins Aerospace Cedar Rapids facility. The position will support manufacturing test and other manufacturing aspects on second shift for the Displays and Flight Systems IPT. The working hours are from 2PM-10PM, but could be flexible. You will be tasked with evaluating and solving everyday manufacturing problems related to design, process and supplier issues. Successful candidates have familiarity with LEAN principles and processes.

What You Will Do:

• Perform root cause analysis and take corrective action to resolve test failures.
• Monitor equipment uptime and perform troubleshooting to ensure reliable operation and minimize downtime.
• Provide in-depth technical assistance and training support to floor test technicians.
• Extensive use and application of standard engineering and manufacturing principles and processes.
• Develop solutions to difficult technical problems of broad scope with little guidance from project managers.
• Implement and maintain test methods and processes in the manufacture and test of sub-assembly, module, and top level product for new or difficult product lines.
• Develops complete knowledge of test systems and hardware.
• Provide technical interpretation of drawings and specifications for complex products.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years prior relevant experience.
• Experience may be obtained through on the job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
• Manufacturing or Trouble Shooting or Test experience required

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience with Root Cause Analysis
• Experience with Lean Sigma principles
• Experience with SAP, Excel, Word, PowerPoint

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
