    Overview

    This program requires a minimum commitment of 8 weeks during the Summer 2027 Season.

    Participation in this program requires medical screening, passing a drug test, and potential DOD Investigation.

    This is not a remote opportunity.

    All applicants have the potential to be placed at any of the following locations: Groton, CT, North Stonington, CT, New London, CT, or Quonset Point, RI and you will need reliable transportation and housing for the duration of your intern assignment.

    Program Scheduling & Scheduling Architecture Management Summer Internship

    As a Program Scheduling (Advance/Engineering Planning) or Scheduling Architecture Management intern you will receive hands-on learning experiences in various departments across the full range of professions that support ongoing business operations. Interns are provided with tasks that are both technically challenging and educationally stimulating. With the guidance of Electric Boat's senior staff and management,Program Scheduling or Scheduling Architecture Management Interns will assistplanners, data management coordinators, or data modelerswith a variety of tasks and projects, depending on their assignment.Possible areas of assignment include the following:

    Advance Planning/Engineering Planning: Supporting the companys work planning and tracking systems which control production and scheduling.

    Scheduling Architecture Management: Supporting the architecture of the companys scheduling software and performing various what-if scenario analysis or data modelling and reporting.

    Program Scheduling & Scheduling Architecture Management Summer Interns may be responsible for tasks involving the following:

    • Engineering/Construction project schedule development and maintenance
    • Schedule or network health metric development and reporting
    • Database creation/maintenance and data modeling
    • Department Man-Power Planning
    • Resolution of changes (Engineering/Design or Planning) impacting networks

    Qualifications

    To be qualified for this position:

    • Must be 18 years of age or older
    • US citizenship is required
    • Must be able to successfully pass a medically supervised drug screen and background check
    • Must be enrolled full-time at a college or university
    • At minimum students must have completed their Freshman year prior to the start of the internship
    • Must be available to work 40 hours per week for a minimum eight (8) consecutive weeks between May 2027 to September 2027
    • Selected candidates will be responsible for establishing housing and reliable transportation for the duration of their intern assigment
    • Pursuing a Bachelor or Masters of ScienceDegree in Accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, Economics, Computer Science or other business-related degree program.
