    System Administrator in Information Workplace Services will collaborate with many teams to support exciting, critical programs with classified information system capabilities. Success in this role means you can develop, implement, and maintain secure, cost-efficient environments across various classified programs. Program teams rely on your collaboration and guidance to define computing requirements and create end-to-end solutions to solve complex IT infrastructure problems.

    What You Will Do:

    • Provide System Administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and RedHat Enterprise Linux environment.

    • Must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent) within a reasonable time-frame

    • Start date will not be set until Interim clearance is issued

    • Work as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment.

    • Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of moderate to high scope and complexity to include the integration of hardware and operating systems.

    • Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security compliance requirements.

    • Follow documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures and other tasks as assigned. Provide feedback to improve both documentation and training.

    • Install and configure software applications requested by end users.

    • Systems are operational 24x7 and occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours.

    • Travel to other US Domestic locations may be required as business needs dictate. Up to 10% per year.

    • This position is 100% on-site.

    Qualifications You Must Have:

    • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and less than 2 years prior relevant experience.

    • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Start date will not be set until Interim clearance is issued

    • Experience with Microsoft Windows administration.

    Qualifications We Prefer:

    • Must have working experience deploying and configuring and maintaining operating systems and clients.

    • Experience with Linux operating systems administration.

    • Experience with patching, and security hardening.

    • Experience with troubleshooting computer system hardware and software issues.

    • Experience supporting engineering or developers in an isolated network environment.

    The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
