Join the StandardAero Houston team as an A &P Mechanic - Airframe, where you’ll perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of mid-size corporate aircraft, including Learjet, Falcon, Embraer, Challenger, and Hawker. You’ll work alongside a team of skilled technicians in a world-class MRO environment, ensuring each aircraft leaves our facility operating safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality.
What You’ll Do
• Inspect aircraft in accordance with OEM Light and Heavy Maintenance Manuals.
• Evaluate removed components for serviceability and document discrepancies (squawks).
• Reinstall and test components after inspection or repair.
• Troubleshoot and repair all airframe systems, including hydraulics, landing gear, and flight controls.
• Perform operational checks and engine runs to ensure airworthiness.
• Accomplish Service Bulletins, Repair Letters, and Airworthiness Directives as required.
• Read and interpret maintenance manuals, blueprints, and schematic diagrams.
• Analyze and resolve mechanical discrepancies efficiently and accurately.
• Inspect, test, and repair fuel, oil, oxygen, pressurization, and environmental systems.
• Use precision measuring instruments, calibration equipment, and mechanic’s hand tools safely and effectively.
• Maintain accurate, clear, and compliant documentation for all work performed.
Position Requirements
• Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as an aircraft maintenance technician.
• Experience working in an MRO environment
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Preferred Characteristics
• Minimum 3 years of corporate aviation experience within a Business Aviation MRO environment.
• Factory-authorized training on any of the listed corporate aircraft platforms.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and technical decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
