    JOB DESCRIPTION QUALIFICATIONS:

    The Boeing Physical Sciences Laboratory in St. Louis, Missouri is seeking a highly motivated and energetic chemist to join it Analytical Chemist Team. The position involves applying the knowledge of chemistry and physical science to perform analytical chemical testing in support of site operations. This includes performing both complex and routine chemical analyses along with conducting contamination analysis and assessment to support troubleshooting and failure analysis.

    Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Entry Level and Associate level Analytical Laboratory Chemist

    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Background in chemical laboratory testing methods/protocols and the ability to take a hands-on approach to laboratory work which includes operating precision laboratory instrumentation including GC/MS, FT-IR, thermal analyzers (TMA, TGA, DSC) and the like.

    • Team-based position requiring working with other laboratory personnel and various supporting functions.

    • Problem solving skills are essential and the individual must be able to collect, organize and interpret by analytical means the test data gathered.

    • Communicating test results clearly in both verbal and written form to customers and management.

    The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

    This position is expected to be 100% onsite.

    The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. Some daily schedule variations (start and end times); occasional overtime work including weekends and occasional travel may be necessary.

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

    • A Bachelors degree or higher in Chemistry

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

    • 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

    TYPICAL EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

    ENTRY LEVEL (LEVEL 1) - Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

    ASSOCIATE (LEVEL 2) - Bachelor's degree and typically 2 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

    RELOCATION:

    This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

    Summary pay range for entry level: $64,600 - $87,400

    Summary pay range for Associate: $77,350 - $104,650
