    Supernal is at the forefront of creating emerging mobility solutions that will foster the development of human-centered cities. We are designing a completely new electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft tailored to the mobility needs of future cities. This allows passengers a seamless intermodal journey that safely transports them to their final destination. We fuse research in autonomy, robotics, aviation and services to define a new category of mobility for the world’s communities.     What we do:

    The Automation Engineer is instrumental in development projects, focusing on advanced process control, and integration of robotic and electrical systems. The role is crucial for advancing our automation capabilities, refining manufacturing processes, and ensuring high levels of efficiency and quality in our manufacturing technology.

    This position will be required to work on-site 5 days a week.

    What you can do:

    • Development Projects: Lead and contribute to automation projects, including system design, programming, and implementation
    • Process Control Systems: Develop, maintain, and optimize process control systems for effective manufacturing operation and data acquisition
    • Robot Programming: Program and maintain industrial robots, ensuring efficient and safe operations
    • System Integration and Electrical Design: Design and integrate electrical systems within automation projects, ensuring seamless operation and adherence to industry standards
    • Continuous Improvement: Regularly assess automation systems for improvements and upgrades to enhance efficiency and productivity
    • Training and Support: Provide training and support to staff on new automation technologies and systems
    • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for system designs, modifications, and maintenance procedures
    • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to align automation projects with overall company objectives
    • May require up to 25% of domestic and international travel
    • Other duties as assigned

    What you can contribute:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field required; Master’s preferred (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered)
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in automation engineering, preferably in the aerospace or automotive manufacturing environments
    • Proficient in advanced process control systems involving PLCs and HMIs
    • Knowledge of electrical system integration and design principles
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Proactive and able to deliver results under tight deadlines
    • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
    • Excellent listening and comprehension skills
    • Excellent planning, organizing, and coordinating skills
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Ability to manage competing priorities
    • Ability to pick up and apply new concepts
    • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
    • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality

    You may also be able to contribute:

    • Experience with automation software and tools
    • Familiarity with IoT and Industry 4.0 concepts
    • Proficient in industrial robot integration and programming
    • Experience with development programs preferred
    • Experience in prototyping environments preferred
    • Experience with project management preferred

    Base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location. This position is also eligible for a bonus as part of total compensation.

    The pay range for this position is:

    $133,120 - $186,160 USD
