    Supernal provides an inviting open-space workplace designed to foster collaboration, which aligns with one of our core values. This position is required to work on-site 5 days a week.

    What we do:

    The Electrical and Wiring Engineer is responsible for supporting the design, analysis, implementation and testing of the low voltage electrical distribution system for the aircraft while ensuring that the projects are completed safely in accordance with all design, operational and schedule requirements.

    What you can do:

    • Perform power system analysis and modeling as needed
    • Develop a power budget for the entire aircraft
    • Perform voltage drop analysis for DC power network
    • Design safety-critical DC power distribution system for aircraft
    • Apply knowledge of why and how to use fuses and breakers
    • Assist with selection of wire types and sizes and other components
    • Support electrical architecture development and wiring diagrams for the battery management and related electrical system
    • Work with the design team to allocate position and space for electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies including wiring
    • Selection and specification of electro-mechanical components such as connection systems, fuses, wiring, contactors, flex cables, ICBs, etc
    • Perform component and architecture trade studies to determine optimal system solutions
    • Document and present trade studies, analyses, test results, status, etc. to the team
    • Generate design and interface documentation
    • Integrate, test, troubleshoot, and verify hardware
    • Other duties as assigned

    What you can contribute:

    • Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or relevant engineering field required
    • Master's degree in electrical engineering or relevant engineering field preferred
    • Experience with aircraft having multiple different modes of flight, including vertical lift
    • Experience with aircraft checkout and flight testing
    • Familiarity with FAA part 23/25/27/29 or other certification experience
    • Familiarity with electric motors and motor control

    You may also be able to contribute:

    • Creation and modification of 3D harness models and associated brackets, interfaces develop and propose cable/wire harness detail and assembly designs
    • 3+ years of experience working with computer aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) such as CATIA or Siemens NX
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Proactive delivery of communication and follow up
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Ability to independently prioritize and accomplish work within time constraints
    • Self-motivated and forward-thinking
    • Proficiency with MS Office Suite

    Base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location. This position is also eligible for a bonus as part of total compensation.

    The pay range for this position is:

    $144,100 - $176,200 USD
