    JOB DESCRIPTION QUALIFICATIONS:

    FLIGHT OPERATIONS ENGINEERING is seeking an Aerodynamics Engineer to develop and test operational performance databases used by airline Customers to plan and dispatch flights for Boeing Commercial Airplanes. This position is located in SEAL BEACH, CA.

    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Analyze aerodynamics data and airplane characteristics for all Boeing Commercial Airplane models.

    • Assist in researching resolution of Customer inquiries

    • Perform takeoff, landing, and enroute performance analysis utilizing Boeing Standardized Computerized Aircraft Performance (SCAP) and Enroute software.

    • Develop and test Boeing operational performance databases. Coordinate requirements for database and other data deliverables.

    • Analyze, organize, and transform performance data for compatibility with various software applications and tools.

    • Assess proposed regulations and changes to aircraft certification that could impact aircraft performance databases.

    • Review organizational process and workflow regularly for continuous improvement.

    This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

    The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

    • Bachelor of Science Degree in an Engineering related field

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

    • Bachelor of Science inEngineering with major in Aerospace and/or Mechanical Engineering

    TYPICAL EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

    • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

    RELOCATION:

    This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
