    Job Description Qualifications:

    The Boeing Company is seeking an Entry-Level Airworthiness Engineer to support our team located in Berkeley, MO.

    This position will apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to the full range of activities required to support Airworthiness/Flight Certification of various aircraft and external stores for the USAF (United States Air Force)/USN (United States Navy)/Phantom Works/DOD (Department of Defense).

    Position Responsibilities:

    • Applies basic knowledge of Boeing design and/or engineering principles to develop interim or final certification solutions for technical and certification issues in coordination with the customer.
    • Critical thinking, problem solving, change management, project management, influencing without authority, & consultation.
    • Ability to communicate concisely in writing, verbally, one-on-one, in small groups, and to large audiences.
    • Ability to maintain situational awareness of the overall program and critical path sequencing.
    • Ability to proactively communicate and collaborate with various leadership teams, peers and customers.

    This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

    This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance post-start is required.

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):

    • Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or physics by August 2023
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate task progress and challenges within team and with technical leadership, both with internal and external customers
    • Experience using software applications for internet navigation, email, Microsoft Office Suite and/or other specialized computer applications.
    • Knowledge and ability to read, understand and interpret engineering drawings
    • Skill and ability to collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources

    Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

    • Relevant technical knowledge in military or FAA certification and/or airworthiness
    • Experience supporting multi-disciplinary teams to meet aggressive schedules
    • Bachelor of Science degree or higher in: Mechanical, Electrical/Aerospace / or Aeronautical Engineering
    • Years of technical experience with the operation of aircraft systems and knowledge of aircraft performance in one or ore of the following areas: aerodynamics, stability and control, propulsion, structures, and mission systems
    • Experience in Financial Analysis, product development/management/pricing, program management, integrated scheduling, business development, and/or supplier management
    • Have or have held an active U.S. Security Clearance in the past 24 months
    • The highest level U.S. security clearance you currently hold or have held in the past 24 months

    Typical Education/Experience:

    Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
