Entry Level/Associate Vehicle Management Systems Hardware Engineer
JOB DESCRIPTION QUALIFICATIONS:
The Boeing Company is currently seeking Entry Level/Associate Vehicle Management Systems Hardware Engineer (Level 1-2) to join the Vehicle Management System (VMS) team located in Berkeley, MO. This position will support the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.

As a VMS hardware engineer you work with an experienced team to develop flight control and subsystem control hardware architectures and requirements. You will develop supplier specifications and work with suppliers to develop and deliver sensors and electronic equipment. You will prepare integration tests and support lab and vehicle testing. You will get to see tangible results of your efforts as you contribute to any number of exciting aircraft development programs.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
P1 - Assists with the development and documentation of electronic and electrical system requirements. Develops or modifies basic hardware and software designs based on defined requirements. Performs system tests to verify operational and functional requirements. Assists in monitoring suppliers' performance to ensure compliance with requirements. Supports resolution of product integration issues and production anomalies. Researches basic technologies for potential application to company business needs.
P2 - Develops and documents moderately complex electronic and electrical system requirements. Designs hardware, software and interface specifications. Tests and validates to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements. Assists in monitoring supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements. Solves problems concerning fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle. Researches specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Export Control: This position require the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILL/EXPERIENCE):
Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science
Ability to work both independently and with a cross-functional team
Detail oriented, analytical, and inquisitive
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
Have or have held an active U.S. Security Clearance in the past 24 months
Experience with design and analysis of basic Electronic/Electrical Systems
Experience do you have in integrating hardware and software systems?
Experience in the development of vehicle management systems
TYPICAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
P1 - Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
P2 - Bachelor's degree and typically 2 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

P1 - Summary Pay Range: $66,300 - $89,700
P2 - Summary Pay Range: $79,900 - $108,100
