Entry Level Electrical Cabin and Network System Design Engineer
JOB DESCRIPTION QUALIFICATIONS:
Boeing Commercial Airplanes in EVERETT, SEATTLE ANDRENTON, WA is seeking ENTRY LEVEL ELECTRICAL CABIN AND NETWORK SYSTEM DESIGN ENGINEERS to join the team in defining and integrating airplane electrical systems across our commercial fleet. All projects center on the translation of concepts and high-level requirements to specific architectures and operational specifications including the physical integration of electrical systems and components into our complex airplanes. Work with a worldwide supplier base to implement system hardware and software. Validate designs through both laboratory and airplane testing. Work with aircraft systems from initial concept through certification, delivery, and through their production life. We are continually evolving the state of the art in commercial air transport. This position will be assigned to work with Cabin Systems which includes interior lighting, passenger address systems, seat back video, passenger connectivity, satellite connections, In Flight Entertainment, and more.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists with the development and documentation of electronic and electrical system requirements.
Develops or modifies basic hardware and software designs based on defined requirements.
Performs system tests to verify operational and functional requirements.
Assists in monitoring suppliers' performance to ensure compliance with requirements.
Supports resolution of product integration issues and production anomalies.
Researches basic technologies for potential application to company business needs.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILL/EXPERIENCE):
Bachelor's degree or higher by the end of December 2022
Degree concentration in Engineering, Math, Computer Science, or Physics
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
Bachelor's degree or higher in electrical, electronic or computer engineering
Experience with electrical systems design and analysis
Experience with building cross functional teams
Experience with leadership and project management skills
Experience with Model Based Engineering Design/Analysis through the use of advanced Modelling & Simulation and Tools & Process development
TYPICAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
