    JOB DESCRIPTION QUALIFICATIONS:

    Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking a Fabrication Specialist (Level A) to support the Metals Assembly Team in Salt Lake City, Utah or West Jordan, Utah on Multiple Shifts.

    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Performs machine set-up, machining, welding set-up, welding, sheet metal fabrication and extrusion, tube bending and fabrication tasks;

    • Performs composite lay-up, fabrication and assembly tasks;

    • Assembles precision mechanical and electro-mechanical components;

    • Assembles, repairs, modifies and installs various power plants and drive trains;

    • Perform soldering on electronic and avionics products;

    • Assembles and installs wire harnesses and avionics products;

    • Prepares test articles, fixtures and data collection devices to perform various tests;

    • Performs basic organic chemical conversion and paint preparation;

    • Applies routine organic coatings for corrosion protection and appearance requirements;

    • Works on articles of moderate complexity using established drawings and requirements.

    THIS POSITION IS EXPECTED TO BE 100% ONSITE. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options: LAKE CITY, UT or WEST JORDAN, UT .

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

    • Ability to work any shift, weekends, and overtime as needed;

    • Able to lift up to 35 lbs.; Frequent lifting up to 10 lbs.; Occasional carrying, lifting, pushing/pulling, walking, standing, balancing; Frequent reaching overhead and at or above shoulder; Frequent sitting; Frequent climbing.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

    • Minimum 3 months experience in Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing experience.

    • Experience with managing or working to safety, quality, and manufacturing performance data.

    • Experience with Lean Principles (Continuous Improvement, Standard Work, and 5-S tools).

    TYPICAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

    • Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. high school diploma/GED).

    RELOCATION:

    This position is MULTIPLE SHIFTS, YOU MIGHT WORK WITH DIFFERENT HOURS:

    1ST SHIFT HOURS: 6.45 AM - 3.30 PM;

    2ND SHIFT HOURS 3:30 PM - 12 AM.

    UNION:

    This is a non-union represented position.
