JOB DESCRIPTION QUALIFICATIONS:
The Boeing Company is currently seeking an Entry Level Hardware Engineer to join the C-17/CAS/BFMS Laboratory Operations Team located in Long Beach, CA. The selected candidate will work with senior engineers to design and develop test equipment and operate test equipment in a laboratory environment.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participates in gathering and analyzing requirements for test measurement systems.
Assists in the development of test procedures, and instrumentation and configuration definition to perform the test within the constraints of the test plan.
Develops solutions to calibration systems problems.
Performs data analysis, develops and utilizes data processing tools.
Designs component level hardware or software.
Uses analytical tools to verify the design.
Verifies collection of complete data set.
Maintains test logs, prepares simple test reports and archives data.
Works under direct supervision.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE):
Bachelor’s degree or higher in mechanical/electrical engineering or computer science
Excellent verbal and written skills with ability to communicate task progress and challenges within team and with technical leadership, both internal and external
Experience using software applications for internet navigation, email, Microsoft Suite and/or other specialized computer applications
Experience reading and interpreting technical data
Ability to read, understand and interpret engineering drawings
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE):
Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering
Experience in formal requirements development, documentation, and management
Experience in a proposal project management role
Strong presentation skills
Experience with testing, writing test plans, conducting tests, and writing test reports
Experience troubleshooting technical system issues

SUMMARY PAY RANGE: $68,850 - $93,150.
