    JOB DESCRIPTION QUALIFICATIONS:

    BOEING COMMERCIAL AIRPLANES LEAN MANUFACTURING OFFICE (LMO) is looking for highly motivated and passionate entry-level LEAN PRACTITIONERS (Level 2) to transform airplane assembly, delivery and fabrication sites into a world-class, continuously improving production system in EVERETT, RENTON, SEATTLE, AND AUBURN, WASHINGTON.

    The successful candidate must be able to assist with instruction in improvement tools and principles. Assists with teaching basic Lean modules. Supports process improvement. Gathers data and information.

    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Assist with instruction in improvement tools and principles.
    • Assist with coaching day-to-day implementation of Boeing Production System (BPS) standard concepts in manufacturing or delivery operations.
    • Assist with teaching basic Lean modules.
    • Gather data and information.
    • Assist with 8-step systematic problem solving by partnering with experienced Lean Practitioner and manufacturing, functional support, and management.
    • Support or co-facilitate continuous improvement workshops such as Accelerated Improvement Workshops, Value Stream Mapping, 3P, or Autonomous Maintenance Workshop.
    • Support and partner with the manufacturing team to implement, grow, and sustain the Daily Management structure and cadence.
    • Promote a continuous improvement and problem-solving culture.
    • Reflect on our own processes to systematically problem-solve and continuously improve the BPS standard.
    • Role Expectations:
      • Establish individual development plan
      • Utilize Lean Passport to plan and track BPS and Lean development
      • Demonstrated capability of the Passport Lean Tools - Level 2
      • Attend and assist DACJ3 or 4 with VSM, AIW, TT and Problem-Solving activities
      • Demonstrate the use of the tool (Tier Board, LSW, Moonshine, POU, and Systematic Problem-Solving)
      • Continuously promote BPS principles and Lean tools
    • Associated Expectations:
      • Coaching of Daily Management System (i.e., Tier 1, Leader Standard Work) at FLL Level
      • Work with DACJ L3&L4 to assist with instruction of Lean tools and principles
      • Project management, data collection, information gathering and reporting
      • Apply Systematic Problem-Solving skills in the work area
      • Adherence of the internal LMO and BPS Standards (e.g., Tier Boards, Kamishibai, Area 5S, Calendar daily)

    THIS POSITION IS EXPECTED TO BE 100% ONSITE. THE SELECTED CANDIDATE WILL BE REQUIRED TO WORK ONSITE AT ONE OF THE LISTED LOCATION OPTIONS.

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

    • 3+ years of experience with applying Lean principles, processes, and tools.
    • 3+ years of teaching and coaching continuous improvement tools and principles.
    • 3+ years of working with cross-functional teams.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

    • Minimum of 1-year Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing experience.
    • Familiarity with Boeing Production System (BPS) and/or Toyota Production System (TPS) concepts.
    • Strong communication skills.
    • Experience coaching team members and leaders in an operations environment.

    RELOCATION:

    TYPICAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

    Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+1 years' related work experience, 7 years' related work experience, etc.).

    Summary pay range: $75,650 - $102,350
