    Job Description Qualifications:

    Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking Entry Level Maintenance Engineers to support the Airplane Maintenance Engineering (AME) or Structural Repair Engineering (SRE) team in Seal Beach, California.

    Maintenance Engineering is one of the few Boeing organizations that is involved in every stage of an aircraft’s lifecycle, from maintenance deliverables to ground support tools and troubleshooting. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for analyzing complex engineering designs and design changes to determine maintenance and repair requirements, procedures, and instructions.

    The ideal candidate will support activities that influence product designs and processes to ensure maintainability and supportability. The Maintenance Engineer is also responsible for developing and providing technical solutions to customers, assessing customers' maintenance operations, and guiding the development of procedures and techniques to allow users to maintain and repair products.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Continuously develop, validate, and deliver technical data for airplane maintenance, fault isolation, and structural repair, ensuring adherence to Instructions for Continued Airworthiness and FAA/Foreign Regulatory standards

    • Analyzes complex engineering designs, supplier specifications, and engine manufacturer design data to identify and formulate maintenance, repair, and tooling support requirements. Develops configuration-specific procedures and instructions accordingly

    • Drives product designs and process improvements to ensure safety, supportability and maintainability

    • Develops and implements fault isolation procedures and techniques

    • Creates comprehensive system theory descriptions to ensure a common understanding of systems and components

    • Conducts engineering analyses to validate the accuracy of maintenance/repair data

    • Collaborates with customers to address inquiries, develop technical solutions, and assess maintenance operations

    • Innovates new procedures and techniques to enhance product maintenance and repair capabilities

    • Participates in organizational activities that influence the Aerospace Industry

    This position is expected to be 100% onsite.The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Seal Beach, CA.

    This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

    • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

    Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

    • Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited course of study in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Civil Engineering

    • Experience reading and interpreting technical data

    • Current or prior Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License issued by the Federal Aviation Administration

    • Experience in either Propulsion, Avionics, Electrical, Communication, Navigation, Hydraulics, Mechanical Systems, Landing Gear, and/or Payloads/Interiors

    • Experience with REDARS, CATIA, ENOIVA & PSDS

    Typical Education / Experience:

    • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
