JOB DESCRIPTION QUALIFICATIONS:
We are seeking an ENTRY-LEVEL MECHANICAL PLANT ENGINEER (FACILITIES) to join our Enterprise and Technology Organization. This position is located in BERKELEY, MISSOURI.
In this role, you will apply your mechanical engineering experience to our maintenance operations within a manufacturing environment. You will be involved in critical proposals, planning, cost estimation, design & analysis for large construction project deliverables across the site. We are seeking valuable technical input to strategic, short-term, and long-term infrastructure planning to include analyzing current conditions and future requirements, and deliver recommendations on capital improvements. The role will focus on maintenance support related to the mechanical phases of buildings, equipment installations, utility systems and grounds. Aligns mechanical designs with customer requirements, building codes and applicable regulations by applying knowledge of construction principles, practices, and materials.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Limited use and application of job principles, theories, and concepts.
Develops solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope.
Follows directions for routine work under close supervision; receives detailed instructions for specific assignments.
Develops moderately complex conceptual designs, final designs, cost estimates and provides maintenance support for the mechanical phases of buildings, equipment installations, utility systems and grounds. Reviews in house designs and designs of outside consultants to assess compliance with customer requirements, building codes and applicable regulations by applying knowledge of construction principles, practices, and materials.
THIS POSITION IS EXPECTED TO BE 100% ONSITE. THE SELECTED CANDIDATE WILL BE REQUIRED TO WORK ONSITE AT ONE OF THE LISTED LOCATION OPTIONS.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILL/EXPERIENCE):
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
Mechanical Engineering degree
Experience with Electrical, Mechanical, and/or Structural engineering systems.
Experience working with building codes and commercial construction, interpreting highly complex drawings, schematics and equipment manuals
TYPICAL EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
