    Job Description Qualifications:

    Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) seeks motivated and talented **Entry Level Mechanical Systems Design & Analysis Engineer **to join the Philadelphia Design Center (PDC) in Ridley Park, PA. .

    Our team is focused on designing and supporting a wide range of Boeing products across the globe including Vertical Lift Programs, Commercial Aircraft, Defense Fixed Wing Platforms, Satellites, Space Launch Systems, and many others. Join a team focused on writing the future of aviation!

    Position Responsibilities Include:

    • Supports the development and documentation of mechanical and fluid system and thermal environment.

    • Supports the development, maintenance or modification of system designs/proposals to provide design documentation and high-level requirements to downstream users/customers.

    • Performs limited detail design development and modification of mechanical and fluid system installations.

    • Supports team in performing spatial integration at system or component level and modification of mechanisms/landing gear/ordinance systems.

    • Assists in preparing technical documents for mechanical components and systems.

    • Assists in supporting proposal preparation and new business development efforts.

    • Assist with aircraft or rotorcraft hydraulic system components design, qualification, and requirements - pumps, actuators, valves, etc.

    • Supports with aircraft or rotorcraft fuel system components including design, qualification, and requirements - pumps, valves, fuel bladders, gauging system, etc.

    • Assists with aircraft or rotorcraft ECS system components including design, qualification, and requirements - fans, heat exchangers, avionics cooling, air supply and distribution, sensors, and controls, etc.

    • Assists with aircraft or rotorcraft Engine control system development, integration, and testing

    • Supports the integration and installation of hydraulic, fuel, and ECS sub-systems and components in aircraft

    • Works under close supervision.

    This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

    This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):

    • Have a completed Bachelor of Science degree (or higher) from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry by the end of September 2023

    Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

    • A final U.S. Secret Clearance

    • Prior Internship experience

    • Bachelor’s degree within Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering Discipline

    • Experience in the aerospace industry

    • Experience working with CATIA

    Typical Education/Experience:

    Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

    Relocation :
