JOB DESCRIPTION QUALIFICATIONS:
Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) has an exciting opportunity for an Entry Level Project Management Specialist (Level 1) to join the Product Security team in Everett or Seattle, Washington.
The successful candidate will participate in the development and management of complex integrated project plans and deliverables across multiple organizations and commodities. The selected candidate will be involved in determining project scope, schedule and budget baselines based on an understanding of the system development lifecycle, incorporation of aviation standards and flows for certification. This individual will also identify resources to meet project goals, develop and complete project communication plans, identify project risks and develop mitigation plans, provide assessment of project performance to appropriate management levels.
This position requires strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with peers, leadership, customers and regulators. This position also requires working within a diverse team of skilled and motivated co-workers to collaborate on results. Other essential qualities are a positive attitude, self-motivation, flexibility and adaptability within a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists in the preparation, coordination, scheduling and change management activities of maintaining an integrated plan to meet program and/or project requirements in accordance with project management industry standards.
Participates in maintaining, analyzing and producing metrics related to plans.
Assists more experienced personnel with risk assessments, developing mitigation plan and refining the business case.
Gathers, coordinates and provides data to maintain status of programs, schedule, customer and supplier commitments and compliance.
Supports the coordination and communication to ensure commitment to stakeholders.
This position is expected to be 80% onsite with optional 20% telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in either Seattle or Everett, Washington.
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
6+ months of experience in Project Management
6+ months of experience communicating to employees, customers, peers and all levels of leadership
1+ years of experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
Bachelor’s degree or higher
6+ months of experience using Microsoft Project or Project Management software tools
6+ months of experience working in a cross functional environment
6+ months of experience developing and managing metrics
6+ months of experience in a position that requires strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
