    The Defiant X Propulsion Team is seeking propulsion system engineers to support engine development and integration through the development of system level requirements, detail design, oversee supplier activities, review test plans and reports, provide support for qualification testing, and support aircraft build. Whether your engineering expertise is in Propulsion System Design, Systems Integration, Auxiliary Power Systems, Vehicle Fuel and Tank Systems, Engine or Flight Controls, or Flight sciences, we have opportunities for you to learn, grow, and contribute.

    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Candidate will be required to work with other engineering disciplines

    • Supports the development, maintenance or modification of system, component and installation designs/proposals to provide design documentation to downstream groups

    • Performs and documents analyses to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications

    • Contributes to supplier development, test and production activities and directs the supplier to optimize integration and achieve program goals

    • Supports system components' designs/proposals standards to provide installation and detail documentation

    • Utilizes and applies Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles to speed innovation, increase operating efficiencies and assist in development, integration and certification of complex systems

    We at Boeing Philadelphia work a 9/80 work week, which allows us to have every other Friday off, as well as a flexible work environment which permits telecommuting on certain days or as needed.

    Travel may be required up to 10% of the time; Domestically and/or Internationally depending on business needs.

    This position requires ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only.

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)

    • Bachelor's degree or higher in an Engineering field

    • Relevant work experience

    • Ability to obtain program access for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)

    • Experience with aircraft systems, structures, or propulsion

    • Experience with commercial aircraft Flight Controls

    TYPICAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

    • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.

    • In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
