    Job Description Qualifications:

    The Boeing Company is currently seeking an Entry Level Real-Time Scrum Master to join the Special Projects Dallas (SPD) P-8A Advanced Airborne Sensor (AAS) Software Engineering team located in Richardson, TX. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.

    The Boeing SPD AAS team provides the mission systems software that runs on the P-8A to provide the warfighter the ability to perform mission planning, tactic planning, interface with the sensor, display sensor data to the operator, and replay missions. The team also provides the capability to train fleet operators on the AAS mission by adding the AAS-specific simulations to the baseline P-8 Training system.

    In this role, you will help the teams to execute their efforts per the Agile methodology.The successful candidate will help the team embrace SAFe Core Values, adopt and apply SAFe Principles and implement SAFe practices. Support team efforts in relentless improvement by identifying and propose areas for improvement and issues affecting effectiveness that the teams themselves might not be aware of. Eliminate impediments for the development team and be collaborative; ensuring a collaborative culture exists within the team, and participate in such an environment for team to have open and honest conversations.

    The candidate displays humbleness, willing to do whatever is vital to help the team achieve its goal, by being an example and recognize the value in all team members. Be committed to following Scrum ceremonies, cadence, addressing impediments, supporting team in meeting the commitments. Be influential and actively participate in spreading Agile mentality within the business unit / organization through coaching, trainings, and participating in CoPs across the program. Be knowledgeable having technical know-how, product and market understanding or other specialized knowledge to help the team pursue its goal. Being able to communicate in a simple and positive manner along with communicate regularly with the Engineering manager regarding issues identified within the team.

    Less than 10% of domestic travel may be required for this position.

    Position Responsibilities:

    • Collect team metrics and present them at team and ART level meetings
    • Help manage risks and dependencies
    • Ability to be the scrum master for two agile teams
    • Strong Knowledge of agile methodology and frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, XP, etc.
    • Exposure to Tools like Git, JIRA, Version One, and Confluence is preferred
    • Mentorship skills to coach team how to follow agile practices
    • Knowledge of other Agile approaches, such as Kanban
    • Experience of software development processes and procedures to guide your team needs
    • Take responsibility for and understand your commitment to deliver the product on time
    • Strong Knowledge of Good Fundamentals on Agile Methodology
    • Knowledgeable of the value of metrics and incremental delivery and team assessments

    This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

    This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active) Ability to obtain a Top Secret Security Clearance post start.

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

    • Associate's Degree or higher, a Technical certificate or degree, or 2 or more years of equivalent technical experience
    • Scrum Master experience in an agile development environment
    • Experience with configuration management and collaboration tools such as (or similar to) Git, JIRA, Collaborator, Beyond Compare, and VersionOne

    Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

    • Possess a Scaled Agile Framework® (SAFe®) Release Train Engineer Certification issued by Scaled Agile, Inc.
    • Experience managing projects & using standard project management tools (ex. Microsoft Project, Gantt charts, PowerPoint, SharePoint, status charts, etc.)
    • Experience facilitating meetings & presenting to senior leaders.
    • Possess a SCRUM Master Certification

    Typical Education/Experience:

    Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. 2 years' related work experience).

    Summary pay range: $44,200 - $59,800
