    The Boeing Company is looking for an Entry Level Real Time Software Engineer (B-1 Program) to join our team in Tinker AFB, OK.

    Position Responsibilities:

    • The organization is responsible for maintaining and developing lab simulators used during the testing and qualification of aircraft systems.

    • The team is also responsible for maintaining and developing desktop simulators used by the Air Force for the purpose of familiarization and knowledge transfer.

    • The successful candidate for this position will assist in the analysis, design, documentation, and implementation of code related to one or more of these systems.

    • Experience or university course work with the programming languages C, C++, and Qt are desired.

    • Experience with Linux real-time embedded environments, and/or with Windows PCs and GUI development, is desired.

    • Experience with writing and maintaining Ethernet interfaces is also desired.

    • The candidate must possess strong problem-solving skills and a desire to learn and work effectively in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.

    This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.

    This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

    • Bachelors of Science or higher from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.

    Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):

    • Bachelor’s degree or higher in mechanical/electrical engineering or computer science.

    • Engineering experience or related coursework with modeling and simulation of complex systems.

    • Experience with Aircraft Avionics/Simulation Systems Engineering and/or Software Engineering.

    • Classroom or work related programming experience with any of the following software development languages: Ada, C, C++, C#, JAVA, and Python.

    Typical Education & Experience:

    • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
