JOB DESCRIPTION QUALIFICATIONS:
The Long Beach BT&E organization is seeking an Entry Level Requirement and Planning Engineer to join our team in Long Beach, CA. This person will develop, document and maintain requirements, test plans, verification of requirements to test cases, and develop and implement System level testing procedures. The selected candidate will handle requirements using DOORS, verification plans, and test compliance verification, executing test procedures and documenting test results to ensure system requirements are met.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter and someone who works well within a team. It will include on-the-job training across multiple Lab Test Engineering roles/functions. This position will be part of a small, self-sufficient team of Systems Integration Lab Test engineers!
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop, document and maintain requirements, test plans, verification of requirements to test cases, and requirements management
Assists in demonstrating the effectiveness of test methods
Develops test procedures needed to perform the test and minimize risk
Supports development of test debrief material to peers and customers
Prepares test reports
Participates in evaluation of test performance data
This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE):
Bachelor of Science degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
Experience with developing test plans and procedures.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE):
Knowledge of DOORS, ClearQuest and Clearcase
Bachelors of Sciencein an Engineering discipline and a minimum of 2-year experience
Experience in proposal coordination and project management is desired
Experience troubleshooting technical system issues
Experience designing test setups, writing test procedures, software for control and data acquisition systems, and conducting tests

SUMMARY PAY RANGE: $68,850 - $93,150.
