    Job Description Qualifications:

    Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an **Entry Level Shipping & Receiving Specialist **(Level A) to join and support Boeing Distribution Services (BDI) parts distribution program across multiple business units, based out of Dallas, TX. The Shipping & Receiving Specialist completes initial part identification and verification on incoming receipts according to receiving processes and procedures. Processes and confirms receipt documentation for internal/external customers.

    Position Responsibilities:

    • Picking of required parts, materials, and supplies for outgoing product fulfillment

    • Inspects the condition, and verifies correct parts, materials, and supplies against records of shipment

    • Attention to detail by pulling the right part and the right quantities

    • Knowledge of Boeing's organizations, processes, program plans, policies and procedures, and products required to effectively perform functional responsibilities of the occupation

    • Knowledge of United Parcel Service (UPS), Federal Express, DHL, and Domestic and International Express Mail processes

    • Knowledge of packaging procedures for technical data (e.g., CD-ROMs, discs, web) or documents

    • Ability to gather, retain, and recall a variety of facts and data in written and/or verbal form for the achievement of work tasks and duties

    • Knowledge of operating and safety procedures for packaging and material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, walking stackers, carts, dollies, box tapers)

    • Ability to understand the big picture and the inter-relationships of all positions and activities in the system, including the impact of changes in one area on another area.

    • General knowledge of transportation, shipping, receiving, and storage procedures to understand and identify potential requirements and impacts (e.g., Electrostatic Discharge [ESD], hazardous material, OSHA, EHS)

    This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Dallas, TX.

    This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

    • Effective communication, organizational and team-oriented skills

    • Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)

    • Ability to lift, push and pull up to 35 pounds frequently within an 8 hour shift

    • Ability to walk, stand, climb and descend stairs, bend and lift items, package materials and unload materials from containers frequently throughout the shift

    • Ability and willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed (based on business requirements)

    Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

    • Experience working with a scan gun

    • Experience working in warehouse and/or logistics operations

    • Experience working in a Distribution Center or a Shipping/Receiving Area

    • Experience with SAP in Supply Chain environments

    • Experience working with a computer-based inventory management system or warehouse management system

    • Experience operating forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts and related warehouse equipment (including educational and operational safety training)

    Typical Education/Experience:

    Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. high school diploma/GED); r elated work experience, relevant military experience, or advanced degree preferred, but not required.

    Summary pay range: $34,850 - $47,150
