    Job Description Qualifications:

    The Boeing Company is seeking an Entry Level Software Engineer to join Government Services Analytics and be a part of the Training, Digital & Analytics (TD&A) organization in Boeing Global Services (BGS). This organization develops products for the management of aircraft health maintenance and analytics that serve both external military customers as well as some internal Boeing customers. The team supports the fleet availability and mission readiness, including Model Based Sustainment Simulation to integrate models from supply chain, logistics, mission operations and does life-cycle cost modeling.

    The successful candidate will have experience with object-oriented programming, such as Python, and an understanding of testing and the agile methodology. The candidate will also have strong problem solving and communication skills.

    Position responsibilities :

    • Primary tasks would include assisting with the implementation, documentation and maintenance of requirements, interfaces and designs for data analytics related software (primarily web-based) applications; development and maintenance of code; and integration of software components into fully functional software systems.
    • Additional software tasks include Cloud enablement, containerization, API development and micro-services.
    • Other tasks may include assisting with test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met.

    Security Clearance:

    This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required

    BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

    • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited university in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or other technical degree
    • Experience developing software using Object Oriented principles
    • Experience with developing web applications
    • Basic knowledge of relational database management system, preferably SQL

    Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

    • Experience in programming using python
    • Experience with front end web programming such as Angular or React
    • Experience with Cloud, Containerization and Automation
    • Experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitLab)
    • Experience in Agile Methodologies and tools
    • Experience in API development
    • Experience with code review, testing integration, and test automation

    Education & Experience:

    Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

    Relocation:

    This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

    Hybrid/Telecommute :

    This Hybrid position allows some telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at the listed location. (Hazelwood, MO).
