    JOB DESCRIPTION QUALIFICATIONS:

    Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an Entry Level Structural Analyst Engineer to join the F-22 Air Vehicle Engineering team located in St. Louis, Missouri. A successful member of this team will understand and execute modifications and upgrades for the F-22 Raptor. The candidate will conduct stress analyses of aircraft assemblies’ primary structure, and work in a team environment collaborating with other engineering disciplines. This role may also support test execution and analyses/reports to validate systems and components meet requirements and specifications.

    Responsibilities include verifying structural integrity by using analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance, including support of in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements.

    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Performs basic structural analysis using well defined analysis tools to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance.

    • Supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.

    • Defines and documents certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied.

    • Supports in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements.

    • Works under general supervision.

    This position allows some telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite (Berkeley, MO).

    This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE):

    • Bachelor's degree or higher in an Engineering or Science related field, by the end of December 2022

    • Experience in structural analysis

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE):

    • Knowledge of Hypermesh, Abaqus CAE, Patran and/or Nastran

    • Strong written, verbal communications and presentation skills

    • Experience with finite element models

    • Knowledge of structural design principles for aircraft primary structures (e.g., fatigue, damage tolerance, corrosion, stress analysis, statics, materials strength, material characteristics, and repair techniques)

    TYPICAL EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

    RELOCATION:

    Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

    Summary pay range: $65,450 - $88,550
