    JOB DESCRIPTION QUALIFICATIONS:

    Boeing Research & Technology (BR&T) is The Boeing Company’s primary research & development organization. BR&T’s Product Analysis and Teardown team is seeking a highly motivated ENTRY LEVEL TEARDOWN ENGINEER (SYSTEMS ANALYSIS AND OPERATIONS) to support teardown activities in EVERETT, WASHINGTON.

    The right candidate will be mechanically adept and hands-on with a willingness and ability to learn and grow in the role. This team has an exciting and important role in the company, transforming the way we engage with suppliers and how we design our aircraft. The Everett Teardown Lab primarily supports BCA with physical teardown, design recovery, cost modeling, and comparative analysis. The information and partner integration derived from these activities drives supply chain optimal cost and benchmarks/comparisons for new airplane design.     POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Participate in physical part teardown, analysis, and cost modeling

    • Engage with stakeholders, peers, and partners to develop collaborative plans and execute on teardown campaigns and associated projects

    • Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions.

    • Evaluates customer and operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces.

    • Performs various analyses to optimize systems and/or system architecture.

    • Performs analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialty quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success.

    This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

    The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED / EXPERIENCE):

    • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering.

    TYPICAL EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:

    • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.

    • In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

    RELOCATION:

    Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
