Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is looking for an **Entry Level Test & Evaluation Lab Technician (Metrology & Calibration) **(Level 1) to join our team in Heath, Ohio.

The selected candidate will be responsible for various genres of instrumentation including electronic, physical and dimensional devices. The need to develop calibration methods and techniques based on principles of measurement science including an understanding of measurement uncertainty, technical analysis of measurement problems, and accuracy/precision requirements in the Optics & Dimensional areas.

Position Responsibilities:

• Participates in test design and performs routine procurement, fabrication and assembly of components, test fixtures and test systems.

• Facilitates systems integration, fabrication and modification; supports system pre-test setup, integration, checkout, and post test tear-down.

• Conducts routine tests, analyzes data and documents results.

• Troubleshoots basic laboratory and test-related problems.

• Works under close supervision.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

• Associate’s Degree or higher, a Technical certificate or degree, or 2 or more years of equivalent technical experience

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Experience with optics, lasers, electronics, or mechanical instrumentation

• Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Summary pay range: $62,629 - $66,500
