    Boeing Commercial Airplane is hiring Entry Level or Associate Numerical Control Planners to join our team in North Charleston, South Carolina.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Develops, implements and maintains various Machine Control Data (MCD), geometry and documentation that directs the operations for a spectrum of numerically controlled equipment required to manufacture assemblies.
    • Working closely with other NC Programmers, Manufacturing Engineers, Process Engineers, Equipment Engineering, equipment provider, Boeing Design Engineers, Boeing Research & Technology Engineers, Quality Engineers, IT, Industrial Engineers and Production Operations personnel.
    • Ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings and specifications (e.g., blueprint/schematic reading, specification, change, design).
    • Provides machine operator instructions and documentation for automated or numerically controlled equipment per established process.
    • Establishes technical requirements for manufacturing and producibility.
    • Plans and guides the development and integration of new machining techniques and manufacturing methods, processes, software and equipment.
    • Assists in numerous tasks related to numerical controlled manufacturing, including research and data collection to support cross functional teams, establishing technical requirements for manufacturing and producibility and planning the integration of new machining techniques and manufacturing methods, processes, software and equipment.
    • Works under minimal direction.

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

    • Experience in CATIA V5 NC programming and/or machining experience with the ability to learn CATIA V5
    • Ability to read, understand and interpret engineering drawings.
    • Experience with Microsoft Office

    Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

    • General understanding of multi-axis Numerical Control (NC) machines.
    • Ability to read, understand, and revise MCD.
    • 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Experience working with machine tooling, metrology, and Composite fabrication/producibility.

    Associate Level: $67,150- $90,850
