    Job Description Qualifications:

    Boeing Global Services Government Supply Chain Planning organization is seeking an Entry Level or Associate Supply Chain Specialist (L2) (Asset Management) in Hazelwood, MO. The Asset Management team is responsible for supply chain planning and execution activities in support of Fighter, Commercial Derivatives, and Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) contracts. The contracts supported are modern service activity where operations are aligned to Performance Based Logistics support methods. The candidate will be involved in a multitude of supply chain related activities to include: customer demand review, forecasting assessment, ordering of materials, reporting on supply activity, strategy development for support of prime contract requirements, enhancing processes and procedures, and working across a multi-functional services team. The candidate will also interface directly with the USG and DLA customer, work autonomously within the Boeing enterprise, and will need to have working knowledge, experience, and understanding of the Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) process. This position requires a high level of personal accountability and responsibility.

    Position Responsibilities:

    • Demonstrates leadership through coordination of efforts between Supply Chain, Engineering, Program, Warehouse, Finance, and Contracts
    • Analyzes post production supply chain data to define reorder points and quantities and coordinates for economy of purchases
    • Analyzes material location and initiates redistribution action
    • Analyzes supplier and/or customer data regarding products or services to include repair capabilities, capacity and performs assessment of configuration change impact to supply support system
    • Reviews applicability of warranties to allocate costs
    • Identifies and resolves customer supply chain management issues and discrepancies
    • Identifies Supply Chain alternatives to resolve obsolescence issues
    • Responds to customer inquiries and coordinates delivery problem resolution
    • Assists with order close outs
    • Assists in the collection and processing of supplier and/or customer data regarding products or services to include supply capabilities, capacity and performance
    • Tracks the movement of assets and components through the life cycle
    • Proficient in Microsoft suite with strong execution skills within Excel and PowerPoint

    This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite in Hazelwood, MO. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

    This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

    • 2+ years of experience in finance, supply chain, project management, supplier management, engineering, math, and/or accounting
    • Strong communication skills, Strong problem solving skills and Strong drive for process improvement
    • Experience in team building, leading cross-functional teams, motivating and engaging team member, and inspiring work groups through daily interactions (customers, programs, supply chain, contracts, finance, engineering, and quality)
    • Experience with schedule and budget management, stakeholder communication, as well as understanding of execution of program planning to ensure cost, schedule and requirements are met
    • Ability to travel 10% of the time

    Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

    • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
    • Supply Chain logistics, procurement, or planning experience
    • Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) experience
    • Experience leading and working in a cross functional team environment

    Typical Education/Experience:

    Typically 3 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.
