    Supernal is at the forefront of creating emerging mobility solutions that will foster the development of human-centered cities. We are designing a completely new electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft tailored to the mobility needs of future cities.     What we do:

    Reporting to the EHS Manager, the EHS Specialist is responsible for the maintenance, and oversight of Supernal’s Environment Health and Safety programs. The EHS Specialist communicates with all Company personnel to promote occupational safety initiatives. In addition, they work closely with all teams specifically the Battery Team to ensure the offices, labs, and testing sites provide the safest work environment and that Supernal remains in compliance with all applicable regulations as the local, state, and federal levels.

    This position will be required to work on-site 5 days a week.

    What you can do:

    • Manage and implement Supernal’s EHS procedures including all Environmental, Health and Safety requirements, as they pertain to OSHA, EPA, CAL-OSHA, City, County, and State
    • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other safety, health, and environmental laws, regulations, reporting requirements, and standards
    • Identify EHS hazards in systems, equipment, products, facilities, and/or operations and develop mitigations to manage associated risks
    • Be able to collaborate with all levels of the organization to accomplish safety objectives
    • Provide EHS input to the development of Job Hazard Analysis, procedures and protocols for the testing and operation of Supernal aircraft systems
    • Ensure proper management of all hazardous waste materials and supplies
    • Develop onsite periodic inspection protocols of Supernal facilities and labs
    • Investigate, report, and effectively communicate critical EHS issue
    • Manage any work related incidents/injuries and assist with incident investigation
    • Review any new chemical request and manage SDS database
    • Collaborate with regulatory agencies on compliance issues where vital
    • Develop and deliver safety training and safety promotion material
    • May require up to 10% of domestic and international travel
    • Other duties as assigned

    What you can contribute:

    • Bachelor's degree in aviation safety or related field preferred
    • A minimum of five (5) years of EHS experience
    • Demonstrated experience evaluating EHS hazards and controlling associated risks
    • Working with battery testing operations recommended
    • Knowledge of EHS regulations including Cal OSHA and DTSC/EPA
    • Experience in EHS management systems a plus

    Base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location. This position is also eligible for a bonus as part of total compensation.

    The pay range for this position is:

    $159,881 - $223,602 USD
