    JOB DESCRIPTION QUALIFICATIONS:

    Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking Entry-Level and Associate Fabrication Specialists to support the Metals Assembly Team on multiple shifts in Salt Lake City, Utah.

    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Performs machine set-up, machining, welding set-up, welding, sheet metal fabrication and extrusion, tube bending and fabrication tasks.

    • Performs composite lay-up, fabrication and assembly tasks.

    • Assembles precision mechanical and electro-mechanical components.

    • Assembles, repairs, modifies and installs various power plants and drive trains.

    • Performs soldering on electronic and avionics products.

    • Assembles and installs wire harnesses and avionics products.

    • Prepares test articles, fixtures and data collection devices to perform various tests.

    • Performs basic organic chemical conversion and paint preparation.

    • Applies routine organic coatings for corrosion protection and appearance requirements.

    • Works on articles of moderate complexity using established drawings and requirements.

    • Able to support multiple shift schedules, if needed.

    This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE):

    • Able to work any shift based on the needs of the operation

    • Able to lift up to 35 lbs

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

    • 1+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

    • 1+ years of aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing experience

    • 1+ years of combined experience in Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality and/or Safety

    • 1+ years of experience using LEAN Manufacturing and/or Continuous Improvement practices and tools in the workplace

    TYPICAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

    ENTRY-LEVEL (LEVEL A) - Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. high school diploma/GED).

    ASSOCIATE (LEVEL B) - Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate).

    RELOCATION:

    SUMMARY PAY RANGE FOR ENTRY-LEVEL: $38,250 - $51,750

    SUMMARY PAY RANGE FOR ASSOCIATE LEVEL: $46,750 - $63,250
