The Boeing Company is hiring for a Flight Test Requirements & Analysis (TR&A) Engineer. This position will support MQ-25 and/or F/A-18 test activities for the FOS ENG Pax team in Patuxent River, Maryland.
This position may require travel to the various test sites such as Berkeley, MO (St Louis surrounding area) to support the Integrated Test Team.
The successful candidate will need to have excellent leadership, team building, analytical, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills with a commitment to customer satisfaction.

Position Responsibilities:
Working with internal and external customers to develop and document data analysis requirements to satisfy test objectives
Support the development of test plans for flight test and lab calibration tests
Design, develop, and implement complex calculations in support of test objectives Coordination with test facility personnel to maintain test readiness in support of real-time data display/recording Troubleshoot/fix/support test data issues before, during, and after test activities
Supporting real-time testing and using Personal Computer (PC) hardware/software to process & analyze test data Troubleshooting problematic test data and coordinating with instrumentation and software programming personnel for problem fixes and new installation/development
Analyzing recorded and calculated test data & assessing for quality prior to release to data end-users Updating & maintaining Avionics data bus traffic and/or Pulse Code Modulation (PCM) format definition files/databases for use in data recording & processing
Test Requirements and Analysis engineers support testing in multiple disciplines including Aerodynamics, Propulsion, Aircraft Subsystems, Loads, Dynamics, Flutter, Avionics, Weapons, and Mission Systems
Coordination is required with a variety of internal (Boeing) & external (Government) customers and intra-departmental flight test contacts (e.g. Aero/Loads/Dynamics/Avionics Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Instrumentation, Data Processing, FTO Operations, Software Programming)
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
Able to accurately differentiate between Red/Orange/Yellow/Green/Blue etc. colors for safety of flight and safety of test displays during real time flight test missions
Experience working in a lab test, flight test, or similar test environment
Willing to travel domestically as needed
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Level 2 : 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering
1+ years' experience with F-18, P-8A or other Navy/Marine Flight Test Programs
Prior experience (internship or full time) in one of the following areas is desired but not required: Monitoring and data analysis of flight-testing including Aerodynamics, Propulsion, Aircraft Subsystems, Loads, Dynamics, Flutter, Avionics, Weapons, and/or Mission Systems
1+ years' experience working with Aerodynamic Airplane performance or Flight Operations Setup of test data processing systems for flight tests and coordinating real-time displays with customers and software engineers
Experience in requirements generation in support of Test Data Processing System design
Use and familiarity with Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Flight Test Data Processing systems and their operation is desired
Coordinating and identifying test instrumentation and data requirements to satisfy test program objectives and support test plan development.
Developing and documenting aerodynamic related computations such as mass properties, air data, airflow, thrust, lift, and drag
Prior experience identifying instrumentation calibration and correction requirements to ensure accurate data.
Experience analyzing, processing, and troubleshooting data from instrumentation acquisition systems and aircraft avionics bus systems such as Military Standard (MIL-STD-1553), Ethernet, Fiber, and/or ARINC 429/629

Summary Pay Range Entry-Level (Level 1): $76,500 - $103,500
Summary Pay Range for Associate Level (Level 2): $90,950 - $123,050
