  • Responsibilities

    As the Junior Chief of Staff to the CEO, you’ll be responsible for a variety of critical responsibilities that serve the executive team. From external communications and investor decks to technology project management, your responsibilities will stretch across the business and have a massive impact on the future of the company.

    While the scope and substance of your role will change constantly, here are some of the key responsibilities associated with the Junior Chief of Staff:

    • External Communications: From private investor outreach to the company’s external newsletters, you’ll need to craft compelling, concise copy.
    • Drip Marketing: Writing and distributing high quality marketing emails to sales prospects.
    • Scheduling Meetings: Organizing meetings for the CEO and key business partners, investors, and potential team members.
    • Project Management: Using PM software like Jira, you’ll be expected to track and oversee projects and milestones. Followup and organization are key skills here.
    • Database: Turn our team’s mental and social databases of connections into an organized official one.
    • Research: A million things come up with a new business—accounting, insurance, whatever. We need someone to research and recommend options for various business decisions.
    • Social Media: Post on Twitter and Instagram for us on a weekly basis.
    • Strategy: Write up reports on various business sectors and potential initiatives to help us make strategic decisions.
    • Everything else: Groceries, coffee, maintenance. There is no task too large and no task too small.
  • Qualifications

    As the right hand of the executive team, you’ll be a critical contributor to every company initiative. That means you need to be highly organized, intelligent, and capable of meeting ambiguity with proactive positivity. In addition, Wright is seeking the following qualifications from Junior Chief of Staff candidates:

    • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
    • Entry-level—we are seeking hires immediately post-graduation
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Proficiency in one or more business disciplines or functions
    • Experience project managing multiple projects
    • Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals
    • Experience with or aptitude to learn about budgeting/financial projects is a plus
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with strong follow-through skills
    • Ability to handle a large volume of work independently
    • Ability to work effectively with all levels of management
    • Proficiency with Google Docs
    • Creative self-starter with a love for the environment
    • Preferred experience includes: project management, startup, strategy
    • While the position is based in NYC, the candidate must be willing to travel up to 25% of the week to Albany or other key locations (with accommodations provided by the company).
  • Benefits

    In addition to a competitive salary of $45,000, the Junior Chief of Staff will receive full benefits including healthcare and 401k.
