    Job Description Qualifications:

    The Boeing Test and Evaluation organization is looking for a Laboratory Operations Technician to work in the Systems Laboratory in Seattle, WA.

    We support over 118 Avionics, Flight Controls, Propulsion, Antenna and Satellite Communication benches/test rigs with hands-on simulation, software & hardware support to Boeing Commercial and Defense airplane program partners.

    The ideal candidate will have good organizational skills, communication skills, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a team environment. They will be adaptable and learn new skills quickly and be a self-starter.

    This position is for mid/2nd shift.

    **Note: flexibility may be required to cover 1st shift on as needed basis

    Our organization is looking to hire Entry-Level or Associate level Laboratory Operations Technicians.

    Position Responsibilities:

    • Ensure safe and efficient operations, including maintenance of configuration and functionality required by business partners

    • Write, update and follow Laboratory Process Documentation

    • Identify Repair and Maintenance needs of test benches

    • Procurement and Management of General-Purpose Test Equipment

    • Configuration Control of test benches

    • Implement lab startup and shutdown procedure, and be available for ad-hoc support for the entire duration of the test

    • Configure lab resources, (hardware connectivity and software loading) to accommodate the test sessions in the lab

    • Assist and perform troubleshooting on lab Troubleshoot electronic and aircraft electronic systems using oscilloscopes, meters and analyzers

    • Ability to follow verbal and written instruction in the form of engineering directions and drawings, work orders and test documents

    • Able to document own work using Tie-in Lab Logs

    • Support program short term and long-term goals

    • Interacting with program engineering and management through the use of clear verbal and written communication to ensure program goals are met

    This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

    This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

    • Associate's degree or higher

    Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

    • 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

    • Experience working in a laboratory environment and/or electronic test and troubleshooting

    • Experience following processes, procedures, and specifications

    • Experience using Microsoft Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

    • Experience documenting and clearly communicating test results to customers

    • Experience interacting with customers to coordinate testing requirements and schedule

    Typical Education/Experience:

    Entry-Level (Level 1)

    Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. 2 years' related work experience).

    Associate Level (Level 2)

    Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor, 3 years' related work experience, etc.).

    This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
