    The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking an Entry Level or Associate Loads and Dynamics Engineer to support fixed-wing aircraft programs within the Air Dominance division located in Hazelwood, MO.

    This is an entry level or associate position on the flight (static) loads skill team supporting F/A-18 E/F, E/A-18G and F-15 air vehicle integration programs. This position requires strong analytical problem-solving skills and familiarity with multiple of the following: aerodynamics, flight dynamics, aircraft stability and control, structural dynamics, aeroelastic stability, and finite element analysis. The ability to effectively communicate with teammates, internal suppliers, and customers is also required.

    Position Responsibilities:

    • Create vehicle-level models for loads and dynamics analysis

    • Perform analysis to support air vehicle design and integration using established tools and processes

    • Post-process analysis or test data to visualize results and perform quality checks

    • Support ground and flight testing by performing pre-test analysis, real-time monitoring of test conditions, post-processing of test data, and documentation of test results

    • Perform model correlation/corrections to ground or flight test data

    • Assist in developing air vehicle flight envelope and operational limits

    • Document and present results in support of certification/airworthiness requirements

    This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

    This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

    • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.

    • Course work or relevant experience in one or more of the following technical competencies: Aerodynamics, Stability & Control, Structural Dynamics, Aeroelasticity, and/or Finite Element Analysis (FEA)

    Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

    • 2+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelor’s degree OR a Master’s degree

    • Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace engineering or Mechanical engineering

    • Proficiency with 1 or more programming languages (e.g., Fortran, C, Matlab, Python, etc.)

    Typical Education/Experience:

    Level 1: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor), or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

    Level 2: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

    Summary pay range level 1: $65,450 - $88,550

    Summary pay range level 2: $76,500 - $103,500
