Mission Systems Test & Evaluation Engineer (Entry Level, Associate, or Mid-Level)
Job Description Qualifications:
The P-8A Multi-mission Maritime Aircraft Program is looking for a Mission Systems Test & Evaluation Engineer to work with the P-8A Integrated Test Team at the Naval Air Station in Patuxent River, MD. The selected candidate will support multiple P-8A test aircraft and the system integration laboratory. This positionwill teachknowledge of commercial & military communications (V/UHF, HF, Data Links), RADAR, Electronic Warfare Self Protection (EWSP), and Electronic Support Measures (ESM). Experience in conducting hardware & software diagnostics/integration and working with Linux operating systems is desired. The selected candidate will work closely with the local Integrated Test Team (ITT), Seattle based Mission Systems Integrated Product Teams (IPT), US Navy engineering, and Developmental & Operational Test Squadrons.

Position Responsibilities:
Participate in gathering and analyzing requirements for test and demonstration of mission system sensors
Assist in the development of test procedures, and instrumentation and configuration definition to collect required data within test plan constraints
Coordinate requirements for and load aircraft software to support test events
Support ground/flight testing onboard P-8A
Support P-8A integration lab operations and test events
Perform mission system hardware/software troubleshooting
Maintain test logs, prepare test reportsand document problem reports
Build mission media and download/archive mission testdata
Develop and utilize data processing tools to provide data to customers and perform data analysis
Design simple component level hardware/software. Use analytical tools to verify the design
Work with IPT to prepare for and support new hardware/software integration
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim U.S. Secret Clearance Pre-Start and final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Entry-Level (Level 1)
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Associate (Level 2)
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Mid-Level (Level 3)
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range for entry-level: $73,100 - $98,900
Summary pay range for associate level: $85,850 - $116,150
Summary pay range for mid-level: $102,000 - $138,000
