    Job Description Qualifications:

    Boeing Global Services P-8 Sustainment is seeking a Systems Engineer (Entry Level or Associate) in Tukwila, WA. This role will focus on the analyses of individual aircraft systems relative to overarching system of systems and specific customer/operational needs in order to balance lifecycle performance and cost for multiple domestic and international P-8 customers. The focus of this position is Systems Logistics Integration with an emphasis on ground support equipment.

    The position places a heavy emphasis on quantitative and qualitative analysis, creative problem-solving, and frequent interactions with customers, internal stakeholders, and technical subject matter experts in order to provide the best possible holistic support solutions for our customers. The customer-facing nature of this position requires strong written/oral communication and presentation skills. Enthusiasm, a strong collaborative drive, working knowledge of project management principles, and independent decision-making skills are highly desired.

    The P-8 is a 737 derivative platform. Prior experience in fleet support or aircraft system design for commercial derivatives, BCA products or ground support equipment is preferred. The successful candidate will support the P-8 Domestic & International Programs.

    Position Responsibilities:

    • Providing responses to communications received from the Government related to Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) specific issues.
    • Being an integral part of the P-8 change process and ensure that logistics engineers review drawings and that supportability and maintainability concepts are taken into consideration
    • Supporting the applicable DAPML in the development and processing of Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) by providing cost and technical assessments for sustainment impact
    • Maintain communications with other qualified contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure effective sustainment management of the program.
    • Support PMA-290 Readiness meetings and participate in developing recommendations for readiness based improvements

    • Providing integration of engineering and support system elements for sustainment of aircraft.

    This is a hybrid position that allows some telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

    This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required.

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

    • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
    • Experience working in a cross functional environment
    • Experience with MS Office suite

    Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

    • 1 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
    • 2+ years of experience in the aerospace industry
    • Experience working with P-8 or a comparable commercial derivative aircraft platform
    • Experience with ground support equipment
    • Experience in a role that required strong written and oral communication skills

    Typical Education/ Experience:

    Entry Level (Level 1)

    Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

    Associate (Level 2)

    Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

    Relocation:

    Summary Pay Range (Entry-Level): $73,100- $98,900
