    At StandardAero , we specialize in more than maintenance-we deliver confidence to operators of the world’s most sophisticated business aircraft. Our Augusta, GA facility has been in operation for over 50 years, and is expanding rapidly, with a 80,500 square foot expansion fueling innovation and capability across our airframe, engine, and avionics operations.

    We’re looking for an Avionics Technician I to join our team , where you’ll build real-world troubleshooting experience working on elite corporate aircraft from manufacturers like Dassault, Gulfstream, Bombardier, Hawker, and Embraer. This is a growth-oriented role designed for a motivated technician ready to strengthen their skills in diagnostics, communication, and hands-on repair.

    What You’ll Do:

    • Troubleshoot and repair avionics systems including:
      • Flight Management Systems (FMS)
      • Communication and Navigation systems
      • EGPWS/TAWS , Radar , DME , TCAS , Transponders , and Autopilot/Flight Director systems
      • Cabin Management and In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) systems
      • Satcom and Airborne Radio Telephone systems
    • Perform system checks, fault isolation, and component-level replacement or repair under guidance from senior technicians or leads.
    • Install avionics components, wiring, and systems on a variety of corporate aircraft in accordance with approved data.
    • Use electrical hand tools, test equipment, multimeters, and soldering tools to perform accurate, efficient repairs.
    • Maintain continuous, professional communication about work progress, timelines, and technical updates.
    • Accurately document all work completed, discrepancies found, and actions taken-meeting FAA and company standards.
    • Participate in on-site support and occasional travel to customer locations or other StandardAero facilities as needed.
    • Support a safety-first, clean, and compliant work environment.
    • Embrace learning opportunities and contribute to team goals with a proactive attitude.

    What You Bring:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Minimum 2 years of hands-on avionics or aircraft electronics experience in aviation or military environments (fixed wing).
    • Familiarity with troubleshooting practices, wiring diagrams, and avionics component function.
    • Basic knowledge of FAA regulations and documentation procedures.
    • Ability to communicate professionally with peers, supervisors, and customers.
    • Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Formal technical training in avionics systems or electronics.
    • FCC license and/or FAA A &P certificate strongly preferred.
    • Ability to research and apply FAA guidance documents (ACs, Orders, Notices).
    • Desire to grow into more advanced avionics troubleshooting and diagnostic roles.
    • Prior experience in business aviation or working on aircraft from Falcon, Gulfstream, Challenger, Hawker , or Embraer families is a plus.
