Test and Evaluation Engineer (Entry Level, Associate or Mid-Level)
Job Description Qualifications:
The Boeing Company is seeking a Test and Evaluation Engineer in Edwards AFB, CA, to specialize with the instrumentation systems used in B-1B developmental flight and ground test. You will be an important part in the B-1B instrumentation and data systems design, build, and operation. You will belong to an integrated test team supporting the ongoing and future testing of the Air Force B-1B Bomber conducted at the Edwards Air Force Base Flight Test Center in California.
Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Entry-Level, Associate and Mid-Level Test and Evaluation Engineers.
Position Responsibilities:
Create test instrumentation systems to achieve B-1B developmental and operational test requirements
Interpret test requirements and determine test instrumentation methodology
Design, develop, and document developmental instrumentation systems
Generate electrical schematics and mechanical drawings using commercial drawing tools and other common design software
Identify required products, systems, components, materials, and manufacturing processes / technologies needed for building those systems
Coordinate and oversee fabrication, integration, modification, setup, checkout, and teardown of the instrumentation systems
Integrate instrumentation systems into test hardware and systems to fulfill all test requirements
Represent instrumentation systems in the test readiness review process
Perform flight line pre-flight/post-flight and test support functions as required to ensure instrumentation system readiness, operation and data validity
Analyzes, review, and validate test data to ensure test instrumentation hardware readiness
Troubleshoot and resolve instrumentation system related problems
Conduct research in test instrumentation technologies to improve test efficiency and capability
Work with other members of the B-1 Integrated Test Team, management, and technical staff to define and implement test engineering solutions
Possess a safety mindset for yourself and the team in accomplishment of all tasks
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Master’s Degree or higher Engineering Degree
Experience with data acquisition systems
Experience directly supporting flight/lab test operations
Experience with CAD software

Entry-Level (level 1)
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Associate (level 2)
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master).
In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Mid-Level (level 3)
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience).
In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range for entry-level: $73,100-$98,900
Summary pay range for associate: $85,850-$116,150
Summary pay range for mid-level: $102,000-$138,000
