    JOB DESCRIPTION QUALIFICATIONS:

    The Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS), Bombers Division, is seeking an entry-level Systems Integration and Test Engineer (Level 2) to join our Verification & Validation Team in Oklahoma City, OK. Our team creates next generation products and services for the BDS business unit. Our team focuses on agile development to demonstrate a host of mission-focused technologies for a variety of customers. Our work involves all facets of engineering, from technology and concept development, proposals, requirements and design, build, integration, test, and demonstration of products in their relevant environments and interfaces.

    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

    The Systems Integration and Test Engineer will be part of a high-performing team that are immersed in high intensity development projects. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work proprietary development programs being performed for U.S. government customers who are responsible for exciting national security missions. This position will design, build, deploy, operate and maintain mission critical platforms and systems for government customers. This role will support in vital systems development and integration and test activities to establish product readiness and approval for off-site operations.

    • Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions.

    • Evaluates customer and /operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces.

    • Performs various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture.

    • Performs analyses for affordability, safety, reliability (FMEA), maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success.

    • Performs verification and validation of system requirements with proper flowdown and traceability for system, hardware, and software components, executing scope of validation or regression activities required for recertification.

    • Performs integration and test of HW and SW domains for Command & Control, Mission Management, and Mission Processing elements to ensure system success with ground and space segments, including heritage systems.

    • Creates and executes required regression testing, test plans, procedures, schedules and documentation to support verification, validation, certification and transition.

    • Supports design, development, and implementation of safe operation of test facilities/labs and instrumentation systems with documentation, licensing, calibration and tooling to meet certification requirements.

    • Supports analysis and preparation of test results to verify and validate design and performance to meet government, regulatory, customer and program compliance requirements.

    • Supports test interface development, documentation, and compliance and system integration across hardware and software domains for Command & Control, Mission Management, and Mission Processing elements to ensure system success in live operations.

    • Supports implementation and documentation of system-level network interfaces, plans, network connectivity and drawings.

    • Supports implementation and management of system integration labs.

    • Develops the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes.

    • Resolves cross-functional technical issues.

    ADDITIONAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Duties will include but not limited to:

    • Work as a member of an interdisciplinary engineering team to successfully execute the systems development cycle

    • Assist with the development of requirements

    • Assist with analysis of system test data

    • Develop and execute test procedures

    • Support trouble-shooting and root cause isolation processes

    Onsite – not hybrid or virtual - This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

    This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.   An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance Post Start is required.

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline

    • Ability to obtain an maintain a DOD security clearance

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

    • 2+ years of engineering experience (or Master’s Degree)

    • Experience with IBM Rational DOORS, JIRA, Confluence

    • Experience working in the AGILE software development framework

    • Experience in the analysis of 1553 data

    • Experience developing and executing system test procedures

    TYPICAL EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

    • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

    RELOCATION:

    This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Note: Basic relocation will be offered for eligible internal candidates.
