  • Responsibilities

    Ralph Lauren Wholesale Services is responsible for managing an annual multi-billion $ portfolio of customer orders for all Brands under each of the Men’s, Women’s, Home Collection, Children’s Wear, Accessories, and Footwear divisions across Wholesale, Retail, and International businesses.

    The Account Analyst’s primary responsibilities are to work directly with Sales and RL Accounts on order management and execution of all post market activities and to provide business support through order analysis and reporting.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    Financial:

    • Territory can include Department stores, Specialty stores, International accounts, and Intercompany accounts
    • Validates Account’s seasonal buy against order confirmations and verify financial plan and communicate and resolve discrepancies
    • Monitors Account’s weekly order fulfillment and identify and communicate to Management on concerns that may impact order fulfillment and cause financial risk
    • Reviews and communicates to Sales and Accounts on issues impacting deliveries including late receipts, product shortages, style updates, quality issues and transportation delays
    • Ownership of priority account(s)- multi-million dollar account base/high focus accounts
    • Understands the strategic and financial goals of the division and how their role impacts those goals
    • Measures and tracks divisional metrics including fill rate and confirmation status of customer orders to ensure RL financial and strategic goals are met
    • Communicates to Management on any order changes or lost sales that could impact monthly/quarterly financial goals for the division
    • Maintains accurate data files and communication to Accounts on PO pricing discrepancies for chargeback research and reversals. Provides historical data to Compliance Department
    • Identifies and communicates issues impacting deliveries including late receipts, product shortages, style updates, quality issues and transportation delays

    Account Management:

    • Builds/Develops strong business relationship with accounts and buyers by partnering with Sales to understand account specific preferences and requirements
    • Develops understanding of Brand and business process requirements specific to the division.
    • Maintains and updates orders based on customer requests and direction from Sales. Ensures accuracy and understand financial impact of any changes
    • Supports multiple markets/seasonal customer buys ensuring order integrity in partnership with Sales and account base
    • Identifies when to involve Management in issues that require problem solving and decision making
    • Tracks and reports deliveries through warehouse management system until invoiced
    • Analyzes and reviews Account’s PO status and provides updates to Sales and Accounts as needed
    • Travels to Corporate offices
    • Understands account specific requirements, and works to develop and align processes to support
    • Analyzes data to manage account’s forecasted receipt plan and identify risks and opportunities to meet both RL fiscal goals and customer expectations
    • Familiar with product assortments for each season including key items, fashion, replenishment and account preferences
    • Clearly understands Brand/Division specific business process requirements (i.e. Credit review, Embroidery, EDI, Pre-pack functions)
    • Understands the impact that changes may have to achieving financial targets and communicates to management when needed
    • Develops reporting tailored to specific business needs and viewer (Sales/Account/Management)
    • Track and report deliveries through warehouse management system using available tools and reporting and provide updates to accounts on shipping schedules
    • Travel to Corporate offices, professionally representing Account Services, territory responsibilities, and division

  • Qualifications

    Requirements:

    • SAP-AFS experience required
    • PKMS knowledge of waving process, order delivery statuses and style statuses required.
    • Experience with Query tools for PKMS research and reporting of customer orders required
    • Experience with order entry tools including GFE+ Download process, EDI processes, VR Link and WInshuttle templates where applicable to business/division
    • Proficient in Excel including formatting, pivot tables, V-look ups and working with formulas.
    • Experience with Microsoft Word
    • Aptitude for numbers and data interpretation.
    • Knowledge of Retail math
    • Proficient in business processes and systems.
    • Adept in data analysis and able to identify potential issues and take proactive steps to resolve.
    • Uses good judgment when making decisions.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization
    • Professional presentation skills, and ability to speak to territory
    • Effectively collaborates in a team environment

    Education / Experience Requirements:

    • Undergraduate degree – Liberal Arts, Business preferred
    • A minimum of three years of business related experience or Retail experience preferred.
