    General Summary:

    The Assistant Fit Technician ensures that product meets corporate standards and buyer’s requirements by assisting with fit comments and communicating changes to vendors.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Assists with processing fit comments while building aptitude in resolving fit issues
    • Learns how to preserve design intent and maintain fit consistency across the brand
    • Effectively communicates fit/silhouette alterations and construction updates to vendors, while ensuring a correlation between the alteration and final spec
    • Works with manager to develop technical expertise in identifying potential roadblocks and offer alternatives without compromising the look
    • Responsible for creating daily fit templates for all departments
    • Ensure fit samples are prepared for weekly fittings

  • Qualifications
    • Degree in Fashion
    • 1-2 years of experience in technical / apparel design
    • Excellent written and verbal communication
    • Possess an aesthetic sense and a good eye for proportions and scale
    • Detail oriented with strong time management and organizational skills
    • PowerPoint expertise is essential, with emphasis on ‘drawing’ and ‘formatting’
    • Knowledge of fabrications, sewing, component assembly, and technical terminology
    • Analytical skills and reasoning ability
    • Sense of urgency, ownership, and initiative
    • Ability to work within a team, or in an autonomous environment, self-motivated
    • Able to adapt to change, and support ongoing brand innovation and evolution
