A DevOps Platform Engineer here at Lands' End will be a part of a highly-collaborative team working on a variety of software engineering tasks to create and maintain scalable and reliable software systems, primarily supporting the ecommerce side of the Lands' End business. You will work closely with various development teams on Kubernetes cluster build and maintenance, cloud infrastructure development via Terraform, CI/CD pipeline workflow development, container artifact support, serverless computing, and automation scripting. We are moving quickly to develop the team into a Cloud Computing Center of Excellence, and will act as education and consulting resources for project and application teams within the Lands' End enterprise.

The successful candidate for this position should have a strong background in Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, and CI/CD pipelines.

For this position, we are looking for a candidate with relevant experience with an emphasis in Kubernetes and Infrastructure as Code.

Required skills

• Strong working experience with Kubernetes, Helm Charts and Docker containers
• Strong working experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code framework
• Strong experience in CI/CD pipeline development tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, Artifactory, Ansible, CodeDeploy, Harness
• Experience with Helm
• Experience working in a cloud environment, preferably AWS
• Demonstrated work in an agile development environment, utilizing continuous integration/deployment practices
• Working experience with monitoring applications:
• Prometheus and Grafana
• DynaTrace (Appdynamics, New Relic, or comparable can be a substitute)
• Splunk/Securonix (Datadog, Sumologic, ELK, or comparable can be substitute)
• Scripting experience with Python, Shell, or other automation scripting tool
• Good working experience with Linux and/or Unix
• Experience with Tomcat, Apache
• Use of version control software (such as Git)
• Knowledge of HTTP, HTML, browser debugging techniques and web technologies

Desired skills

• Experience with running and deploying Java / Angular apps, particularly Spring and Spring Boot
• Cloud database experience, particularly DynamoDB and RDS
• Experience with Continuous Deployment strategies such as Blue/Green and Canary
• Experience with the Atlassian toolset: Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket, Bamboo
• Experience with running and instrumenting automated test frameworks and synthetic tests
• Understanding of Sec Ops practices such as endpoint security and automated security analysis tooling (Whitehat, Rapid7, Xray, etc.)
