    Position Overview

    Assist in all functions related to the efficient and effective management, coordination and execution of the Merchandising team to achieve corporate/divisional goals and objectives. Provide support to the Merchandising Team in product management, sample coordinating and showroom set-up Caps Sportswear and Licensing. Collaborate with cross-functional partners to achieve common goals and results.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    Basic administrative support

    • Calendar management
    • Meeting organization (scheduling, reserving conference rooms, creating agendas)
    • Assist in clerical preparation for management meetings
    • Track and process all Weekly and Monthly expense reports for SVP review and approval
    • Travel arrangements for SVP
    • Filing and organization
    • Contact management
    • Assist with ad hoc projects and work with the team as requests arise

    Merchandising support

    • Assist in sample process including receiving and accounting for samples for owned and licensed businesses and managing hand-off process of samples
    • Assist in market set-up by ensuring entire line is represented in the showroom in either sample or other if sample is not available; hanging / folding / steaming all samples in showrooms
    • Assist with design and merchandising teams to create Stat Book and distribute to all team members

    Business support

    • Basic deck updates / consolidation
    • Pulling in pictures
    • Formatting
    • Tracking down information
    • E-com research

  • Qualifications
    • 4 year college degree
    • Strong Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills are required
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interface with key executives in a profession manner
    • Develop understanding of Retail Metrics
    • Sets appropriate priorities to meet agreed deadlines
    • Handles multiple projects simultaneously
    • Work is accurate, timely, and complete
    • Modifies approach to work based on new information and manager’s needs
    • Takes independent action to resolve problems/projects
    • Ability to anticipate unforeseen issues and take appropriate action
    • Communicates effectively with management interfaces
    • Follow up on issues and inform managers
    • Develop documents/communications in a timely, accurate and professional manner
    • Maintain up to date file systems
    • Ability to schedule calendar appointments effectively
